South Plantation Magnet High School Environmental Science class for an overnight ecology/astronomy event. Chris Stephan will use Riverwood's 12 inch reflecting telescope to show students from this Fort Lauderdale school autumn deep sky objects under our beautiful skies at Riverwoods. I can see 6.5 magnitude on a dark moonless night. Students will be taught to find several of the variable stars in the "10 Star Tutorial" from Citizen Sky. I will teach the students how to make observations and then record/submit the data. 7:30-9:30PM EDT.
This event is for this school group only.
