VStar Light Curve Analysis Software is Now Online!

Citizen Sky is now officially permanent part of the AAVSO. In the coming weeks we will be moving additional content to the AAVSO site and freezing this site as an archive of the 1st three years of the project. Please visit the new landing page for future updates.

A  new, open-source data visualization and analysis tool called VStar is now ready for download.  It is the product of a Citizen Sky programming team led by David Benn - VStar Software Development Team.  We are very proud of VStar and thank the team for the many, many hours of hard work that have gone into creating this tool.

A brief description, some simple instructions, and a download link are available on the VStar page.

Also, now online is the 5 Star Analysis Tutorial - an introduction to the basic concepts of data processing and inspection. This tutorial is the perfect next step for those who have completed the 10 Star Tutorial.

As mentioned in a recent newsletter, David Benn will be running a half-day VStar workshop at the National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers on April 2nd. (See his Citizen Sky Calendar listing for more details.) Good luck David!
