How often should Miras and Semiregulars be observed? Every two weeks? Once per week? The same for RVAs?

Thanks!

Hi Mark, For Semi-regular and Mira type variables, I usually like observing them twice per month, if weather and schedule cooperate. Chris Stephan Robert Clyde Observatory Sebring, Florida USA

ThanksChris! .... would that be about the same for RVAs? Can the frequency be generalized to: pulsating variables = every 2 weeks; eruptive variables = nightly? Or does it vary more type by type? Thanks for the insight....I'm trying to put together an observing plan. -Mark
