New light curve analysis blog

Grant Foster has started  a new blog about light curve and other forms of data analysis. As of this posting, his first entry on sawtooth waves is online. Sawtooth waves are fairly common in variable stars. The stereotypical sawtooth shape consists of a steady increase in brightness followed by a sudden, sharp drop. Grant begins the post talking at an introductory level about what makes up the shape. He then gets into more detail and the math involved, for those who are interested in the nitty gritty. Anyone interested in light curves will probably find this blog fun to follow.

Grant, of course, will be presenting at the upcoming 2nd Citizen Sky Workshop in San Francisco.
