Official Funding!

Citizen Sky is now officially permanent part of the AAVSO. In the coming weeks we will be moving additional content to the AAVSO site and freezing this site as an archive of the 1st three years of the project. Please visit the new landing page for future updates.

Up until this point the Citizen Sky project has been operating with preliminary funding approval from the National Science Foundation (NSF.)  In recent weeks we have been dealing with the last (of many) bits of "red tape" in the official approval process.  Around lunchtime today we received word from the NSF that the final stages of processing have been completed and that the Citizen Sky grant has been officially awarded!

We are very, very, very excited to continue our progress on the Citizen Sky Project with the official support of the National Science Foundation! Yippee!

Rebecca,

Congratulations on the official notice of the funding from NSF. That will calm the nerves. Again, publically, I want to thank you and Aaron for doing such a great job with Citizen Sky.
