Now we seem to be on the brink of (or are we actually already beyond?) the beginning of the eclipse in terms of brightness drop, I decided to review my spectroscopic results to date in the form of a poster paper presented at the British Astronomical Association meeting in Leeds UK today (5th September). Interestingly it shows that the first sign of the eclipsing body in terms of the KI 7699 line absorption was around the end of May and the increase in absorption appears to have been proceeding in a series of steps, the last 2 steps being accompanied by changes in I band brightness as measured by UK astronomer Richard Miles.  The poster can be downloaded here.
