One of the recent groups out for our night sky viewing at Riverwoods Field Lab of the Center for Environmental Studies of Florida Atlantic University took this photo, attached, of the Moon through our 12 inch reflecting telescope. This was taken with just a digital camera held up to the eyepiece. The photo was taken by South Plantation Magnet High School Environmental Science student Emmy Silberstein. Emmy is a softmore at the school. She stayed for quite a while at the scope taking photos until she got this nice one. Not bad for a beginner! Good job Emmy. (Name used with parent permission)
