CCD Camera for photometry?

Submitted by Maurice on 27 September 2011

Was wondering if anyone could give some recommendations for a decent/good CCD camera for photometry with a CPC1100. I've been kicking this around for a while but have held off since the scope is ALT-AZ but with the release of the HD Wedge, I'm looking to go that route sometime in the future. I'm not worried about pretty pictures, I can play around with that with my webcam and DSLR but want to get decent results with a CCD so I can get more photometry work going using Photometrica.

I have a Meade DSI but have been unable to get it to focus with my CPC, even using a reducer. Plus I'm not sure how well it would work for photometry. Any suggestions, ideas or tips from past experiences will greatly help! Thanks!
