Developing A Visual Observing Program- June 2011
This course will focus on how to select stars to observe based on your equipment, site conditions, experience level, variability types, scientific merit and other factors.
Was wondering if anyone could give some recommendations for a decent/good CCD camera for photometry with a CPC1100. I've been kicking this around for a while but have held off since the scope is ALT-AZ but with the release of the HD Wedge, I'm looking to go that route sometime in the future. I'm not worried about pretty pictures, I can play around with that with my webcam and DSLR but want to get decent results with a CCD so I can get more photometry work going using Photometrica.
I have a Meade DSI but have been unable to get it to focus with my CPC, even using a reducer. Plus I'm not sure how well it would work for photometry. Any suggestions, ideas or tips from past experiences will greatly help! Thanks!
