Background/Interesting Fact: I am co-author of the Handbook of Astronomical Image Processing and the AIP4Win (Astronomical Image Processing for Windows) software program, plus a bunch of other books on telescope making, etc., etc. My current writing project, due out in summer 2011, is a book on Telescope Optics, Astrographic cameras, and Eyepieces, which analyses of 60-some designs. I have been doing precision differential astrometry and photometry for several years, and folding what I learn back into AIP4Win as improvements in the power and accuracy of the program.<br />
